Shipping, Pick Up, and Returns

Shipping Policy

All plant orders will begin shipping out again starting 1/16/2021.

Orders of hard goods will continue to ship out as normal.

The change in shipping of live plants will offer greater success and less stress on the plants. We will begin normal operation on 1/16/2021. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. 

We are now only shipping Mondays and Tuesdays. Please read the COVID19 Statement for further details. Packages can take up to 4 days to be delivered if not more due to the increased number of packages the post office has to process.  

All packages are sent out via USPS Priority Mail which arrives in 2-3 business days. Your purchases will be sent out the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday following your order with a cut off time of 8pm MST.  This ensures the plants don't sit in transit over the weekend. All orders placed Thursday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday.

 

Regular orders of plants and other aquarium goods have a shipping charge of $9,99. Orders $150 or more will receive free shipping, but excludes orders of rock and larger spiderwood. Shipping rates for aquarium rock and large decorative spiderwood are dependent on size and weight. Free shipping does not apply to these items. 

Keep in mind the weather for your area, hot or cold. Although our plants are packed in insulated materials, they are still sensitive to extreme temperatures. Tracking numbers will be provided for all orders and it is up to you to make sure they are brought indoors as soon as possible. Since Wyoming is susceptible to extreme winter weather, plants will not be shipped on days a winter storm is in effect here. I would recommend taking these same precautions when placing an order, so plants do not freeze or over heat. If there is a delay in your order due to weather here, I will contact you via email to inform you of the following shipping day.  

Local Pick Up Policy

If you happen to be located around South Eastern Wyoming, you have the option to select "Local Pick Up in Cheyenne, WY" as an option for your order. It is free to pick up and I will contact you directly to schedule a time for you to stop by to get your order. In addition to the plants, there are a few more items available for pick up only. Please visit our Cheyenne page for further details. 

Remember, you must be able to pick up your order if you select "Local Pick Up in Cheyenne, WY." If you are unable to pick up in Cheyenne, WY, you will be charged the normal shipping fee for your order. In the case where we must make any changes to your order because of this, you will be contacted directly. Holidays

If USPS is closed due to a holiday, your order will go out the following business day as long as it falls on a Monday, Tuesday. 

Live Arrival Guarantee 

At Rooted Tanks, we take pride in our plants and we want you to enjoy their beauty. We supply insulated packaging for every aquarium plant order and heat packs during colder months. If for any reason your plants arrive in poor condition, please take multiple photos of the plant in its original and unopened packaging within 5 hours of delivery. We will evaluate the condition and determine if it is dead or stressed. We may suggest that you give the plant a few days since most plants are fairly resilient. If the plant doesn't meet your standards we will either replace the plant or issue a refund. 

Returns

Returns on unopened or unused hard goods are welcomed but the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. A refund will be issued once the item has been returned and inspected. Please email Rooted Tanks if you are needing to process a return.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON LIVE PLANTS.​

Damaged Order

If your order has been damaged upon delivery, please email us so we can help process an insurance claim through USPS. 

Missing Order

If your order hasn't been delivered, please email us so we can help get in contact with USPS to locate your package.
